Access

Octopod:Play Apollo is now launched in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge). It is now possible to access your launcher from any device connected to your network thanks to its IP address (computer and tablet are preferred, mobile possible, but the interface is not optimized for this use).

Configuration

The Configuration page evolves slightly with the addition of a QR code to scan with your mobile devices to launch the Octopod:Play launcher on your mobile devices (tablets, smartphones). Moreover, you will find the network interface with the IP of your launcher machine that you can type from any computer connected to the internet.

The resources tab also evolves slightly and allows you to access :

• The Octopod FAQ
• The manual of frequently encountered problems and how to solve them.

• A contact form to the Octopod support

To proceed to the update :

First step

On your Octopod:Play launcher, you will receive a notification once the new version is available in the form of a pop-up asking you if you want to update. Click on it to launch the update installer.

If you wish to postpone this update, an icon will appear in your taskbar. Click on it to start the update.

Second step

Once the update is complete, Apollo will open in a browser and begin a replication and migration phase of your database. Once these steps are completed, you can discover Octopod:Play Apollo. Be careful! Launch the update outside the activity periods.

The Apollo version of your Octopod:Play tool is a major update that involves important changes in the architecture.

Therefore, allow some time to learn the software. This is why it is preferable to update during periods of low activity.
