WanadevStudio games updates
Skip the tutorial: WanadevStudio is gradually integrating this feature
It was one of your feedbacks: to be able to skip the tutorial of some games, especially for regular players. The new version of Octopod:Play, version 2.2 called Luna, allows you to start a game and skip the tutorial.
Via a “Skip tutorial” toggle next to the server, this applies to all players for the following games:
- Aqualia [v2.2.2.0-stable]
- Ragnarock [v2.1.2.0-stable]
- Propagation Stage 1, 2 and 3 [v4.3.7.2-stable]
Don't forget to update your games from the Games tab on Octopod:Play 2.2 to take advantage of this feature! If you haven't updated your launcher to v2.2, simply connect to Octopod:Play and click on the yellow update banner to see this new version deployed. It's simple, fast, and secure!
The other games in the catalog will gradually incorporate this functionality.
Propagation Stage 1, 2, and 3 enhancements, especially for free roaming [v4.3.7.2-stable]
Propagation Stage 2 is now compatible with 4-players free-roaming on the Octo:gone's Half (8×5m) space. Propagation Stage 1, 2 and 3 are still compatible with 2-player free-roaming in Room space (4×5m)
The following improvements have also been made:
- Improved ergonomics for use with the HTC Vive Focus 3 headset (automatic detection, consistent auto options: no alternative grab with trigger, active grab type, no automatic reload)
- Correction of a non-functional English translation for “You are dead”.
- Simplified space switching by choosing directly in the launcher: Box, Room, or Half (Half only for Stage 2)
NB 1: This replaces the former “free-roaming Room scale Mode” option, which has been removed.
NB 2: Currently only works for Rooms or Halfs with SteamVR headsets, excluding Vive Focus 3 (see below).
NB 3: Vive Focus 3 headsets will soon be compatible with this feature. In the meantime, activate the “Free Roaming Mode” server option when you want to play a Room or Half game with Vive Focus 3 headsets.
Finally, a player option “Security zone”: Yes/No (enabled by default) has been added:
- If “Yes”, yellow tape appears on the floor to mark the zone from which players must not leave.
NB 1: applies in the tutorial (fixed zone of approx. 1m² around each player) and in the game.
NB 2: Functional option for SteamVR or Vive Focus 3 headsets, but not for Meta/Oculus headsets.
NB 3: This displays a rectangle entirely contained within the boundaries defined in the headset (so if they're not rectangular, the scotch tape displayed may be smaller than the real area).
