Introduction

The Octo:Gone can accommodate up to 8 players with the same equipment and in the same space. Compatible with base station technology (HTC Vive Pro & Valve Index) as well as the latest HTC Wi-Fi 6/6E streaming headset, the HTC Vive Focus 3.

This space has been designed to offer the largest number of VR experiences from our games catalog in one place, while allowing you to offer free movement of the players. Finally, this space allows with an excellent profitability per square meter for free-roam experiences thanks to its modularity.

Why is it modular?

With the Octo:Gone, you have five types of multiplayer VR playgrounds in one single space. Access a catalog of over 18 VR game licenses (and more to come) with the same installation and hardware! The Octo:Gone Arena has been designed to really optimize the floor space allocated when you book a game.

Our system uses the virtual boundaries of the virtual reality headset to define exactly how much floor space will be used.

For example: a group of customers can book half of the space (half of the playground) for a session of four players playing Propagation Stage 2, while the other half of the space can be used for, say, a group of two players playing ECLIPSE in a room-sized playground, and two players in two separate pods playing RevolVR 3.

Changing the type of space is a breeze: set up and launch a game from within the software, and the Octopod solution does the rest. All thanks to the space manager feature in our Octopod:Play management software. With just a few clicks, you choose the virtual play space where you want to start a game session, and the software does the rest automatically.
